WHERE IT ALL BEGAN:

FIVE YEARS.
ONE MISSION.

In 2021, The Red Alert debuted as a small, community-driven initiative with a simple belief:

every girl deserves to show up to school ready.

Not distracted.

Not embarrassed.

Not choosing between buying lunch and buying pads.

What began as a grassroots effort to fill a gap that no one was talking about has grown into a recognized Toronto back-to-school campaign. One that brands, community organizations, and donors look forward to every year.

 

It's not just about the supplies, we're sending a message: 

girls matter. 

And the city has their back.

2026 is our biggest year yet and we're aiming to support 80 girls across Toronto with a full 12-month supply of period products delivered through our trusted community partners.

FLAGSHIP

Our core donation campaign runs August 4th through 23rd. Every donation directly funds a full year of period supplies for one Toronto teen.

IGNITION

A launch event in July brings our community together to secure early donations, tell stories, and celebrate before the campaign window opens.

AFTER THE DROP

Because support goes beyond what’s inside the package. The Red Alert is extending its impact through a curated in-person experience for girls ages 11-14 centered around confidence, connection, and creativity.
